Calculate your BMI and ideal weight

At Grupo de Obesidad, we understand that weight management is a complex process that requires personalized guidance and support. To begin treatment with the Gastric Balloon, knowing your Ideal Weight Chart and Body Mass Index (BMI) and setting weight goals are crucial steps toward achieving a healthy weight and improving your overall well-being.

To determine if you have the ideal weight, it’s important to consider variables such as gender, age, height, and body frame, among others. The Ideal Weight Chart provided here only accounts for gender and height, which means the ideal weight range can vary depending on the individual.

This chart is designed for adults. If you have a smaller body frame, your ideal weight will likely be at the lower end of the range indicated in the chart.

Conversely, if you have a larger body frame but the same height and gender, your ideal weight will be closer to the upper end of the range.

It’s important to remember that while this chart is a helpful tool, it doesn’t account for all the factors that contribute to a healthy weight.

For a more personalized assessment, consider consulting with a healthcare professional who can take all relevant factors into account, including your age, body composition, and overall health.

The Gastric Balloon procedure is suitable for patients who are overweight by 17 lb to 66 lb or more and do not want a surgical procedure.

The Gastric Balloon also has been used for several years to treat overweight individuals with 13 lb to 17 lb excess weight or with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 26-27, which means not very significant overweight but difficult for patients to lose on their own. With a Gastric Balloon, they can achieve this weight loss in approximately 3 months due to its safe and effective nature.

At the Grupo de Obesidad, experiences with overweight individuals above 66 lb in moderate and severe obesity have been successful, achieving weight losses of up to 88 lb, which can be highly significant in terms of total weight percentage and significantly reducing risk factors associated with overweight.
